RepRap: It’s Academic

Dr. Sells in the UK just got his Ph.D, which is cool enough without him having done it on the RepRap project!
He’s uploaded his thesis to the RepRap Documentation Page. This is a big, 300+ page document full of good stuff. It starts out with the familiar (to us Fab Nerds anyway) litany of the RepRap project, but then dives deep, with tons of diagrams of mechanisms, descriptions of different economic models of distribution, comparative discussions on fabrication technologies, the works!
This is a really keen document and I hope to see lots more personal fab discussion happening in academia over the next few years. It is, after all, a technology that’s going to change the world.
