It was not so long ago when the idea of rapid prototyping was only a dream. Manufacturing your every desire was something you saw on the Jetsons or Star Trek.

Today that’s all changed. There are robotic machines that are just itching for you to give them ideas and they will create the physical version of the thing you imagine.

We have created Thingiverse because we want a place for the things that you imagine and design to live and thrive.

You’re invited to join and upload anything you can imagine. Our hope is that others will be inspired by what you design and folks all around the world will set their machines in motion to make your ideas come to reality everywhere.

We’re still tweaking a few things and improving the design over the next week, so please hold off on blogging about it until Monday November 17th when we will have tidied up a bit.
